What I Stand For
Get Onboard with Tom Lord!
For years, St. Cloud and the surrounding cities have been plagued with overpopulation, water issues, rapid development, and more.
During my time in city council, I plan to do my part to end these challenges by leading efforts to fix our water treatment processes, address the rapid growth and overpopulation issues, and overall, make St. Cloud a place future generations can be proud of.
Get Involved
To be able to make an actual change in St. Cloud, I need everyone’s support. Whether you want to help me improve the water conditions or just want St. Cloud to be a better place for your family, a simple donation can help us achieve that goal. I’m grateful for this opportunity and EVERY donation means the world to me!
What I Plan To Fix
Clean Water
There is no excuse. We must have clean, drinkable water. We must get off the MIEX resin system, especially after the failure at Plant 4.
Infrastructure
The past 2 years have shown that we must find a way to fix problems that arise before they turn into serious disasters.
Limit Growth
The BOCC and St. Cloud City Council have let the tract developers go “buck wild” throughout St. Cloud and surrounding areas in Unincorporated Osceola (St. Cloud).

City Code
I have seen too many times watching our Council many residents and small local businesses going before the Council to complain about Code Enforcement or about harassment by Code Enforcement.
Strengthen Emergency Services
They are there for us when we need them, we need to continue to be there for them. We are lucky to have such amazing Police Officers, Fire Fighters, and Emergency Personnel.

Frequently Asked Questions
I have spent the majority of my life managing businesses and believe that between that, my knowledge of the Council, my love for the City I was raised in, and my dedication to working for the citizens, I am the only one that can truly become the next “People’s Councilman”.
- Finally getting our citizens the clean water they pay for and deserve. It will take getting us off the MIEX resin system, and possibly, section by section, replacing pipes. At this point, it’s “Whatever it takes”.
- Fixing Old Canoe Creek Road and Hickory Tree Road to alleviate traffic issues that exist or will come due to “Out of Control” growth.
This will take putting pressure on the BOCC as these are County roads and they are the ones approving all the development. I will put that pressure on them and make them own up to what they’ve done. - Strengthening our City Workers, Police, Fire, and Emergency Services. Our City Workers and Emergency Services need to be ready and staffed to take on the population explosion that has happened here and the challenges that brings. Two of my cousins are City Workers and one is a St. Cloud Police Officer. I have heard the stories over many holidays and other family gatherings about how things are for them. I will ensure they have what they need and are treated with the respect and honor they deserve.
- Work to limit large tract development and diversify development in St. Cloud.
A lot of folks believe I am “anti-development”. That is not entirely true. I am though tired of seeing large tract developers coming in and building cheaply built, cookie cutter homes. I want to see diversity in our housing. I want to see industrial jobs brought to St. Cloud. I want to see more custom homes and larger lots. A lot of what hinders this change is the Joint Planning Agreement between Osceola County and the City of St. Cloud.
This agreement needs to be amended to work towards the betterment of the City, not it’s detriment.
